Our History

It all started in 1963, when James R. Conrad, CLU®, ChFC®, joined what was, at the time, Mutual of New York (MONY). Over the decades, his practice added new services and products to keep pace with the numerous changes in the financial markets and tax code, enabling him to provide coordinated solutions. In 2005, Jim was named MONY's "Man of the Year," the highest honor a MONY financial professional can receive. Chosen by his peers, 2005 marked the last year for the Man of the Year award, which added to the significance of the award that year.

Jim can say that he has helped many people through numerous changing events in their lives. From the time when his clients first got married, to when they had children and raised them, and on into their retirement years, Jim has helped guide clients through the various financial decisions they have had to make.

In 1994, Jim's oldest son, J. Victor Conrad, joined the firm, bringing seven years of public accounting and banking experience to the table. Seeing the satisfaction Jim had in helping people navigate through the numerous changes they faced in life, Vic sought to provide the succession to Jim’s practice.
